Steph + Art Therapy

A Creative Mental Health Practice. Combining creative expression and counselling, clients can authentically express and process thoughts and emotions that may be otherwise difficult to articulate with words. Art therapy is not about the product, but the process of making the internal, external.

Meet Steph.

Hi I’m Steph! A Certified Art Therapist and Registered Therapeutic Counsellor. I offer both in-person and virtual individual sessions from my creative studio in Inglewood, Calgary.

The heart of my practice is believing that the client is the expert of themselves. I believe that everyone has the answers within themselves and that my role, along with creative expression, is to help you find those answers. Using a client-centered, feminist and strength-based approach, I work to create a safe and collaborative space to creatively express and process your thoughts and emotions. With a graduate diploma in Art Therapy and an undergrad in Sociology, I combine my knowledge of both disciplines to better understand clients on an individual level and how they have been influenced by their larger social situation.

Steph has a Masters-Level Diploma in Art Therapy, an undergrad in Sociology, and is a professional member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada.

“Art is the meeting ground of the inner and outer world.”
